What an evening! Thank you, PSG supporters. $2,300 raised so far!

PSG event 041

What an evening we shared on June 23rd, 2011!  Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate PSG at our Garden Open House last week.  We loved the opportunity to thank you in person for everything you do to make our work possible.

We enjoyed historic St. John's Church Parish House, delicious local Sangria from Grayhaven Winery, nourishing local food from Ellwood Thompson's, lively guitar music by Clark Lovelady, flowers from Evie Scott's garden, and spectacular homemade Smith Island cakes in 8 incredible flavors, baked by the talented Amanda Reese! Check out the great photos on Flickr.

Best of all was the fantastic company.  Our board and staff immensely enjoyed seeing so many smart growth supporters come together in one place at one time.  We were also pleased to see new faces.  Welcome to our community!

Special thanks to our generous event committee, Fred Fisher, Sally Schwitters, Evie Scott, and Caroline Cooke, and to Somphit Dye for her leadership as President.  Thanks also to Amanda Reese for the incredible donation of those amazing cakes that people can't stop talking about.  We also appreciate our hard-working volunteers and interns: Aaron Brenner, Eric Dykstra, May Levine, Heather Holub, Alli Alligood, and others.

As you heard in the glow of this past Thursday evening, our committed board has donated a $6,000 matching gift.  We welcome you to please help us match this generosity by making a donation of $50, $250, $500, or even $1000 today.  Your tax-deductible investment will go twice as far, and will be deeply appreciated by your fellow supporters, our board and staff. People like you have already given $2,300 to date!

There is no other organization like PSG in our area, addressing sustainability across jurisdictional boundaries. We count on your support to make our work possible for the remainder of 2011 and beyond.  By coming together as a community, we can sustain a strong PSG and a healthy, connected region!

Thank you for coming to the Garden Open House!  Let's keep the momentum going!
