Partnership for Smarter Growth Announces New Executive Director

The Partnership for Smarter Growth Board is pleased to welcome Brianne Mullen as its new Executive Director.
Brianne has focused her education and early career on smart growth issues. She recently completed a dual degree program in which she obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law, and her Master of Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Commonwealth University. We are incredibly excited to welcome Brianne to our organization and we know her talents and enthusiasm will be an asset not just to PSG but to the entire Richmond region.
Brianne comes to PSG at a critical time.  With the Richmond region ranking 95th out of the nation's top 100 metropolitan areas for transit access to jobs, PSG is spearheading a year-long program on Transportation Transformations for a Competitive and Sustainable Future. Lack of transit hinders the reduction of poverty, contributes to growing traffic congestion, and can discourage mobile, young professionals from locating in the region. By bringing the latest thinking to Richmond on modern transit, bicycle, pedestrian and parking solutions, PSG hopes to spark public involvement and new public and private initiatives.
