New Kent County

New Kent County is a fast-growing rural county with a rich agricultural tradition.  Interstate 64 cuts through the county, positioned between Richmond and Williamsburg, and presents opportunities and challenges for growth.

PSG stays in contact with County stakeholders including businesses, citizens, and elected officials, and has presented to the New Kent County Planning Commission, to promote balanced growth.  PSG has profiled New Kent Courthouse Village and Maidstone in our Walk and Talk series in 2010 and our Smart Growth is Smart Economics report.
